He regretted that we inadvertently moved away from discussing the layout of his converted trailer (after mentioning that we would do so during the episode). He uses this converted trailer as a mini-warehouse space. Watch the youtube version of this episode to see the nice layout.
He told us that, "I kinda flippantly made a reference to returning a large item if it didn't sell. I would like folks to understand that I genuinely don't typically buy things with returning it being my out at the end. This item, however, comes from a store where I have been friends with the assistant manager for over 15v years (long before he was ever working at this store). In fact, he will even let me know when stuff that he knows I'm sourcing is back in stock. I guess my point is that I'd like folks to know that I try and be very respectful of the stores where I make my purchases, because I understand that the potential return of a positive long term relationship with that particular store/location will pay much bigger dividends than the short term gain of dumping items back at stores that I was unable to sell. I just don't want people to think that I just run out and return everything that doesn't sell."
The guest also wanted to clarify that he does understand, endorse and use the "above the buy box" strategy (as taught in the provenamazoncourse.com/abovebb module found inside the ProvenAmazonCourse library) - he thought it may have sounded in the interview like he didn't quite understand or endorse the "selling above buy box" strategy, but he wanted to point out that he most certainly does.
If you have no money or your account is held up for some reason, source, source, source!
Had a client who was waiting on a large payout and all he did was source test worthy ASINs for 3+ months
When he got his payout he started sending in his test worthy ASINs and went from minimal sales to $50K in 3 months…that’s mainly run rate on tests, not much in the way of replens yet
BUT…more dollars = higher risk when new
The real value in your business is the ASINs, not the capital
Selling above the buy box is a strategy that works. We see it all the time.
There is no place to see this strategy working in Keepa and the only way to know would be to test it.
This is not necessarily intuitive and we don't know of another place it is being taught.
We could keep this information to ourselves and many would never know it, but we are sharing because we want to see you have success too
Working with new clients we see the day-to-day progress
Day 1: I can find anything to test! Day 2: I found some to test!
Day 31: I’m not making any sales! Day 32: I just got my first sales!
Perhaps the adage, it’s always darkest before the dawn is true!
If you just give it 1 more day the sun will come out

He's doubled his business this year over last year and he has big goals for the future.

Who should BUY an Amazon account:
If you are well positioned to take advantage of buying an established Amazon account at the start of your Amazon journey, it can make sense to do so! Benefits include potentially far faster payouts, fewer category or storage restrictions, a better seller rating on the platform and an established account health reputation with Amazon - just to name a few.
Who should SELL an Amazon account:
Are you looking to step away from Amazon for a season? Maybe other opportunities have come your way, or you're in a season of life (permanently or temporarily) where selling your account makes sense. Your established account could be worth more money that you might realize!

Today's guest quit his last "real job" in the late 90s (on the day he won employee of the month at his last employer) and has been an entrepreneur in e-commerce since then. The first 15 minutes of our discussion is his history of ups and downs with various business models, including how he lost everything in 2014 when he inadvertently broke laws that he didn't realize existed.
Now he's helping brands sell about $80K per month with the PPP (Proven Product Partnering) model as taught in the ProvenAmazonCourse.com course as well as a few other models we discuss. Because of his long time experience in ecommerce and his ongoing success with the models we teach, we've also brought him on board as a coach on our team!
