Is it possible that sellers who start selling NOW have an advantage over those of us who started say, 4 years ago?
I think so for several reasons! 1) Amazon has clarified several policies and enforcement is more consistent. 2) The tools and software we have now are incredible (i.e. automating a catalog of 1,000s of ASINs) and 3) the strategies we have available to us now are incredible compared to what we had even just a few years ago (example - finding above buy box ASINs)
